225-litre (59.43 US liquid gallon) barrel kit, transport model, French oak
The staves, bottom and heads are made with French oak, washed and dried in the open air for 24 to 30 months.

Example for a 225-litre transport barrel:

24 identical staves, shaped and machined
(dual-layered staves bent using a high-frequency press)
length = 95 cm   (37.40”)
width at bilge = 9 cm  (3.54”)
thickness = 26 mm (1.02”)

2 ends
diameter = 56 cm   (22.04”)
thickness = 26 mm  (1.02”)

6 galvanised steel hoops
thickness: 20/10ths
width: top hoop = 55 mm (2.16”)
shoulder hoop = 35 mm  (1.37”)
bilge hoop = 45 mm (1.77”)

Staves toasted to your specifications:
(over oak-chip fires)
Light, moderate, moderate+, strong.

Same toasting levels possible for barrel ends (to be specified).
Wood or silicone bungs provided.

All shapes of barrels can be made on request
